| Life Stories |
[May. 1st, 2008|09:20 pm] |
I was at a Barnes and Noble yesterday getting books for my graphic novel class. After I found them, I started browsing the store. In the "CURRENT EVENTS" section the spine of one book on the shelf caught my eye because the title of the book was Nigger. That made me chuckle.
On the 360 front, the prepaid XBOX casket was shipped from Sparks, Nevada at 6:50 PM today. If you feel like tracking it with me here's the tracking #: 1Z67W57XP200713533. Input that number here to see where my box is. That's it on that subject.
Back on the subject of Graphic Novels, I've been really getting into the stories my teacher has the class reading. We read Watchmen by Alan Moore first, that shit was hot fire. Then we read The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, that shit wasn't nearly as good as Watchmen, but I'm a sucker for Batman stories so I liked it nonetheless. Then we read a compilation of stories called Heartbreak Soup that's about a fictional town in Mexico called Palomar, and what I liked about these stories was that these stories were about regular life as opposed to something fantastical like a superhero that patrols his city. I think I'm going to try to get more into Graphic Novels.
That's all I've got.

| | aggravated | ] | I got some of that new gitta 4, but my (brother's) 360 freezes about 8 minutes into every game I play. I try to rush and save before that time limit runs out, but the cut-scenes are so damn long and frequent that I don't have enough time to do so. Bitch ass Microsoft with their defective ass product. I'm putting in for a repair tomorrow. I probably won't get to play GTA 4 until like the 3rd week of May. What a shitty situation indeed.

I was going through this blog and it was full of hot shit. I particularly like this post for all the clouded memories it brought back. I don't remember how Luigi's story went, but the ending still makes me chuckle. "Fancypants" still cracked me up.
I like the old entries I went through. They were semi-lengthy posts about anything post-worthy that was going on in my life at the time, but they bordered on "who the hell cares about this." I might start posting on this shit again.

[Oct. 13th, 2007|05:13 am] |
(to a guy who's braking for no reason that I can see) "Stop pumping your FUCKING BRAKES!!!"
(to six cars, side-by-side in front of me who have to merge and are slowing down because they can't figure out their merging configuration) "MERGE YOU FUCKS!!!"
(to a guy who merges into my lane at the last minute so he can exit the freeway) "You cunt bitch."
You shouldn't let me drive your kids anywhere. |

This oughta hold you over 'til I update in another 3 or 4 months.
"(Narrator: Michael, meanwhile, was meeting his brother G.O.B., hoping to discuss his father’s boat party.)
Michael: You got your check for your share of the party?
G.O.B.: You know, I sort of thought my contribution could be a magic show.
Michael: A magic show... oh, that’s perfect, G.O.B.
G.O.B.: Thank you.
Michael: Or, wait a minute. I just remembered something—Dad’s retiring, not turning six." |

Wife of Gob: I'm in love with your brother-in-law. Gob: You're in love with your own brother? The one in the army? Wife of Gob: No. Your sister's husband. Gob: Michael? Michael! Wife of Gob: No. That's your sister's brother. Gob: No, I'm my sister's brother. You're in love with me? Me! Wife of Gob: I'm in love with Tobias. Gob: My brother-in-law? Wife of Gob: I know it can never be, so I'm leaving. I'm enlisting in the army. Gob: To be with your brother? Wife of Gob: No!
I miss this show. |
